Thank you to all parents and staff for a seamless start to the school year. With booklists a thing of the past, students farewelled parents with a hug, and accompanied by supportive staff quickly entered rooms to rekindle friendships and commence learning.
Understandably this was different from previous years. But when we reflect on the role of schools and take away our needs as adults, this morning was a celebration. The independence of our students should be celebrated, as too the caring environment at St Francis Xavier. Collectively we can all be proud.
Throughout the school year we will be required to be agile as we operate in uncertain times. As a learning community that is Christ Centred and Child Focused, I am confident that any challenges faced will be successfully met.
A special welcome to new families and staff joining our vibrant community for the first time. We look forward to our Kindergarten students joining us tomorrow and continuing our learning journey together.
