About us

What guides us

Principal’s Welcome

It is with great gratitude and a strong sense of purpose that I serve as Principal of St Francis Xavier Primary School. I feel deeply privileged to lead a school that is so rich in faith, connection, and opportunity.
With over twenty-five years in Catholic education, I bring a deep commitment to fostering environments where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. At St Francis Xavier, our guiding light is Christ, as reflected in our school motto, “Christ is our Light.” This message continues to inspire and guide us each day as we strive to live out the teachings of Jesus in all aspects of school life.
Our staff are dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive environment where relationships, wellbeing, and academic growth are central. We know that strong partnerships between students, staff, and families are essential, and it is through these connections that our students are empowered to reach their full potential.
Our team of educators is committed to providing engaging and meaningful learning experiences that nurture both the mind and the heart. Through high-quality teaching and a strong focus on student wellbeing, we aim to develop confident, compassionate, and capable young people who live out Gospel values in their everyday lives.
Our school values, compassion, honesty, respect, inclusivity, and self-control, remain at the heart of everything we do. We strive to nurture these qualities in our students, so they grow into individuals who act with integrity, kindness, and empathy. As a community, we continue to grow together in faith and learning. I value the strong partnerships we share with our families, parish, and wider community, and I am committed to ensuring St Francis Xavier remains a welcoming and faith-filled place where every child can flourish.
I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our school and the opportunities available to our students. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to connect further. Together, guided by Christ’s light, we continue to build a community of hope, growth, and shared purpose.

Our school community

More than a school, a connected community

St Francis Xavier Primary School is a place where students, families, staff, and our parish come together to support one another and grow together.
Community is at the heart of life at SFX. Through shared celebrations, learning experiences, and everyday moments, we build strong relationships that help children feel secure, valued, and supported throughout their primary years.

Our Philosophy

At St Francis Xavier Primary School, our philosophy is grounded in Catholic faith and Gospel values, nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe every child is unique and created in the image of God, deserving of respect, care, and opportunities to grow.

Our Values

Guided by Christus Lux Mea — Christ is My Light — our values are rooted in discipleship, learning, and community. With Christ as our guiding light, we live out Gospel values through respect, compassion, integrity, and service to others. We value learning as a lifelong journey, encouraging curiosity, perseverance, and excellence in all that we do.
